Show & Tell

April 1, 2012

Have you finished your Oh My Stars! quilt yet?  I certainly haven’t!  I had such high hopes for last week, but there were just too many other things that took priority.  But I promised to put up a linky post this weekend, so here it is.  I’m going to keep it open for a good long time so that people have time to finish up.  People like me… :)

So if you’ve finished up your quilt, or at least have the top put together, then please share!  I’ve really been loving the work people have been posting in the Flickr group, and I can’t wait to see how everyone chooses to quilt the finished products.  I haven’t decided yet what I’m going to do with mine.  And you don’t have to have a blog to play along, you are more than welcome to link to a Flickr photo, etc.

(Ok…so after much fussing around it seems that blogs hosted on WordPress.com don’t allow javascript, and therefore won’t allow me to display the link list within the blog post. Boo-urns. Yet another reason why I really need to shift to self-hosting this blog. You know, eventually.

But you can still add your link by clicking on the symbol above. And you can see all the other links there, too.)

Alas, I am one of the slackers also. I want to make mine a bit bigger (following your updated layout) and I haven’t sewn the extra blocks yet. So, I appreciate that you’re going to leave the link for the completed tops up for a while!

Thanks so much for hosting this quilt along .. it’s been wonderful!

Well, I’m nowhere near starting, but I really do think your design is one of the nicest things going around blogland at the moment. Thank you for all the effort you’ve put into it. I’m torn, as it would be nice to buy all new fabrics for it, but may have to make a few random stars in the meantime from scraps, sure they’ll come in useful for something…

I saw a post about this at the time you were doing it, but I had too many other things going on. Now however, I’ve gone back and made print friendly .pdfs of the posts and find I LOVE so many of the stars that I will have to make at least some of them. Thanks for doing it in a way that it stayed up on the internet.

I’m so glad you like it. :) I hope you’ll share some pictures of your finished stars on either Flickr or Facebook if you get around to making some!

Good morning, I just saw your qal and followed the links to the pattern downloads. Unfortunately, blueprint/craftsy is no longer available. Is there a way to get a download of the entire qal or maybe the dates of the blog posts? Thanks so much. It is beautiful

I'd love to hear from you, so please share your thoughts! I try to respond whenever I can, but I don't always have chance. But I read each and every one!
