Spicy Tomato Jam

After some consideration, I decided to use those gorgeous tomatoes that I found last week to make Marisa’s spicy Tomato Jam.  I’ve made quite a few recipes from Marisa’s fabulous blog Food In Jars in the past, and she’s never let me down.  (For instance, with the strawberries which Philip and I picked in June.  And I’ve made the Three-Citrus Marmalade and the Grape Catchup and they’re great, too.)

This recipe certainly doesn’t disappoint.  I can already see that it will become my go-to substitute for ketchup when making fried potatoes for breakfast, and it would be lovely with a cheese platter.  And it will be the perfect host gift to take along to dinners during the upcoming holiday season.  I can tell already that this is going to become a staple in my house. ;)
